History

Since 1968, Mount Carmel has been a Christian training center, located in an urban setting, that would help students live out their Christian faith in real life. We’ve been doing that for over 35 years.

Mount Carmel is officially and philosophically trans-denominational, but still owes much to its Christian Brethren roots. While our students now come from a wide cross-section of Christian churches, many of our staff and board members come from Christian Brethren churches. We are broadly evangelical, seeking to help students of all denominations live as whole-hearted followers of Jesus Christ.
