Required Courses:

Christian Life
3 Credit Hours
This course is intended to help students mature in their faith and walk as Christians. Students explore the spiritual disciplines and wrestle through issues of lifestyle choices. Topics include servanthood, doubt, self-reliance, holiness, confession, prayer, guidance, spiritual warfare, and living in the church.

Christian Relationships
1.5 Credit Hours
Examines the biblical views on love, sex, dating, marriage and family living. Students are encouraged to form a healthy and realistic attitude toward themselves, friends, the opposite sex, marriage and family life.

Introduction to the Bible
1.5 Credit Hours
Concentrates on the centrality of Scripture, and on practical, careful use of the Bible. The student is introduced to methods and tools of study.

Impact Class
2 Credit Hours
This class explores themes and issues related to student Impact placements. Also includes a discussion of various world religions.

Introduction to Theology
3 Credit Hours
A systematic consideration of basic Bible doctrines, which features the study of all major Christian doctrines, including those of God, Christ, the Holy Spirit, man, sin, salvation, and the church.

New Testament Survey -The Gospels
3 Credit Hours
Includes an overview of the inter-testamental period, a study of the unique approach and contribution of each gospel, and an examination of the life of Christ as a whole. (Includes a requirement to read through Matthew, Mark, Luke & John.)

New Testament Survey - Acts, Epistles & Revelation
3 Credit Hours
A survey of all the New Testament books from Acts to Revelation. In addition to other required reading, students must read through these books.

Old Testament Survey - Pentateuch & Historical Books
3 Credit Hours
A study of the Pentateuch and historical books of the Old Testament along with a requirement to read through all of these books. Attention is given to the theme and structure of each book.

Old Testament Survey - Poetry & Prophecy
3 Credit Hours
Old Testament poetic and prophetic books are surveyed in this course. The practical truth of God’s wisdom is highlighted, along with the message of God through the prophets (students are required to read through the books studied).

In addition to the courses listed above, students are required to complete one of the following three skills based courses:

Public Speaking
1.5 Credit Hours
In all walks of life, and certainly in the local church, people are called upon to speak formally and informally before groups. This course helps students to develop their ability to communicate clearly, especially on biblical subjects.

Small Group Leadership
1.5 Credit Hours
This course is designed for students who are interested in developing their small group leadership skills. In addition, students learn how to conduct different types of Bible studies. Students will not only learn theory, but also have an opportunity to put theory into practice.

Worship Leading
1.5 Credit Hours
This course will explore various aspects of leading corporate worship. This will include various forms of worship as well as different leadership styles. Much of what will be covered will be practical in nature; though some discussion of worship philosophy will be necessary.
