Christian World View and Modern Culture
1.5 Credit Hours
An examination of the Christian worldview in comparison to other worldviews. Special consideration is given to secular and mystical humanism, including new age thought. Some basic defenses of the Christian faith (apologetics) will be examined as well as considering a Christian response to current issues in our culture.

Church History
1.5 Credit Hours
A brief look at the major historical and theological developments in the Christian church from the second to the twentieth centuries. Present challenges confronting the church are also considered.

Genesis
1.5 Credit Hours
This course focuses on the topic of origins; the origins of life, but especially the origins of faith, redemption, and God’s redemptive work. This opening segment of the Bible provides us with the foundations for much of biblical theology.

Introduction to Counseling
1.5 Credit Hours
A general introduction to Christian lay counseling and encouragement from a biblical perspective.

Romans
1.5 Credit Hours
An in-depth study of the New Testament letter of Paul to the church in Rome.

Christian Faith in Action
1.5 Credit Hours
Christian Faith in Action is an introduction to the relationship between Christian faith and social action. Within the context of urban poverty, we explore Christ’s call to serve the marginalized and discuss the challenges and opportunities that this presents us as ministers of God’s Kingdom.
