Application Process

Mt. Carmel accepts students regardless of race, age, or gender. Interested students need to be willing to grow in living out the Christian faith.

Step One:
Meet the Admission Requirements

  • Have a high school diploma. Mature applicants (over 21 years of age) may be accepted with equivalent academic and career background.
  • Demonstrate (primarily in your personal essay – step four) that you are committed to Jesus Christ, and that you are serious about growing in your faith by participating in all aspects of our program: community, impact and knowledge.

Step two:
Download the Application Form and the Reference Forms (see links below). Complete the Application Form and Part 1 of the Reference Forms, then forward the Reference Forms to the individuals you have chosen to complete them. Please have your references mailed to us directly.

Step three:
Arrange to have transcripts forwarded directly to Mount Carmel from your high school and/or all college or universities at which you have been registered.

Step four:
Write a brief (under 500 words, typed please) personal essay, telling us of your family, school experience, Christian growth and service experience, your reason for application to Mount Carmel, and your future plans.

Step five:
Send the completed application (along with the personal essay) and a $50.00 (CDN) non-refundable application fee to:

Step six: After all your application information has been received you will need to complete an application interview with one of our staff members.
