WEEKS 3, 4 and 5

Wow, I can't believe that the summer is over. These last three weeks have been so different and amazing in there own ways.

Our third week in the tour we visited Shiloh Youth Ranch, this camp was really stretching for us, but very rewarding. We saw God at work in the lives of the kids and also the staff. At Shiloh they used horses to break down the walls of the teens, each teen got to pick a horse and take care of it and ride it for the week. It was really cool to seeing them interact with the horses–by the end of the week the teens were so connected to their horse. God works in mysterious ways. Who knew horses could be one of them?

For our fourth week we were blessed to be at an all-girls week at Bethel Bible Camp. It was another full week of great fun: tubing down the river, campfires, luau, and a fabulous dance party. In all these activities we saw the girls able to have fun while not having to worry about what they looked like or if they were being judged. It was awesome to be open and so laid back with the girls. In chapel we learnt that we needed a survival kit to face the adventure that God puts us on. In that kit we studied food that would get us through tough times and water that would last forever. We also learnt that we needed light in order to be the light to the world around us. Our last campfire was very encouraging and we saw God at work. There is something very beautiful when 65 young ladies sing praises to God.

For our final week, we travelled 11 hours to get to a fantastic camp called Echo Lake Bible Camp where we were met with an amazing staff and a very welcoming atmosphere. We joined a team of young people from Vanderhoof, Fort St. James, Ontario and also Northern Ireland. The staff included us and we were able to work with them in loving the teens. We saw God in the creation around us and felt him also in the power of a massive rain storm. God is so powerful and he allowed us to see it. We also had the opportunity to leave the main camp on an out-trip, hiking further into the wild woods where we camped beside a lake, cooked on the fire and slept in four wall tents. We enjoyed a camp fire and devotions under the starry skies. This time away from the main camp was very special for the teens it allowed them to see and breath God's marvelous nature. Echo Lake was a great place to end our summer adventure. Thank you again for all your prayers, there were many times where we felt God's strength and healing power with us.

Praise the LORD! I will thank the LORD with all my heart... How amazing are the deeds of the LORD! All who delight in him should ponder them. Everything he does reveals his glory and majesty. His righteousness never fails. He causes us to remember his wonderful works. How gracious ad merciful is our LORD.  Psalm 111:1-4

God bless, Jamy, Janna, Stephanie and Mariah.

WEEK 2

This last past week, we enjoyed the all-girls week at Meadowlodge Bible Camp. It was a merry time. We traveled through the Christmas story. We sang Christmas carols around a campfire. We are thankful for the prayers of all, this week we all were feeling a little tired but we made it through totally relaying on God's strength alone. God cares for every single one of his sheep, and He would do anything for them and I believe we all learnt that this week. Jesus said, "I am the good Shepherd. The good Shepherd lays down his life for his sheep" (John 10:11). God certainly gave us the energy and wisdom so that we could be Christ to the young ladies that we met at Meadowlodge Bible Camp. We thank you so much for your prayers. Our next stop is Shiloh Youth Ranch where we know that God will be there again to leads us in the way we should act, speak and love. God bless.

WEEK 1

Not to us, O Lord , not to us.
But to your name goes all the Glory
for your unfailing love and faithfulness.
Psalm 115:1

This is just the beginning of our 5 week adventure but God has already showed us his awesome power whether it was giving us perfect weather or a changed heart in a teen. God is at work. This week we learnt alongside the teens at Ross Haven that if we SEEK for God wholeheartedly we will find Him. (Jeremiah 29:13) We found Him in the story of creation and the great flood, in the story of Egypt and the ten plagues and most importantly at the cross. We are thankful to God for the opportunity to show his unfailing love to the teens we met at Ross Haven. Next week we are off to Meadowlodge Bible Camp. We are excited to see God's hand at work once again.
