Staff Profile: Wayne Tomalty
Wayne serves as President of Mount Carmel, and he is passionate about helping shape how people think about life and living the way of Jesus. Wayne takes responsibility for the schoolʼs direction, program and the leadership of the staff. He also teaches Old Testament Survey and leads growth groups, but, more than anything, he likes spending time talking and being with students. Wayneʼs goal in serving at Mount Carmel is to help "students and alumni to live lives that are purposefully other-centered, that consistently demonstrate Jesusʼ call to put others before ourselves."
Wayne and his wife Shauna have three grown and/or growing children, Kyle, Shaylene, and Jelayna. He enjoys running and most sports (volleyball is not a sport), listens to more indie music than a man his age should, and doesn’t listen to as much old rock as he would like to. Wayneʼs been at Mount Carmel since 1994, and has a Masters of Divinity from Providence Seminary in Manitoba.
