Staff Profile: Ty Gurnett
Ty likes Mount Carmel because it keeps him young and pursing God in relevant ways. He likes to keep learning and he has a lot of fun with the students. God is up to something new every year at Mount Carmel and Ty loves being a part of it along with seeing the continued growth in students from earlier years. Ty has been at Mount Carmel for eight years and is currently teaching Christian Life and heading up the Impact Program.
Ty is married to Lori and they have four children, Grace, Samuel, Emma, and Rebekah.
He says that he has yet to learn a real respect for gravity. He likes to climb just about anything that looks interesting—trees, roofs, mountains, etc. He has good intentions of attempting a triathalon next year, and dreams of one day finishing the work on their home. In the summers he keeps busy with a small construction and renovation company.
Ty is a Mount Carmel grad and he is currently working on a degree in religion at Kingʼs University College.
