For specific information on this year's 7th Annual Elijah Run, click here.
The Elijah Run is held on the second Sunday in September as an annual five kilometer “Fun-Run” in Edmontonʼs river valley combined with a public barbecue for Mount Carmelʼs supporters. While the event does raise some money for Mount Carmel, it primarily creates a gathering point for Mount Carmel supporters and an opportunity for the new class of students to recognize that they are part of a bigger tradition.
Normally 70-80 people participate in the run, both walkers and runners. The competitive streak does come out, with a course record of under 18:08 minutes (results are posted after the race at www.resultscanada.com). We welcome all walkers and runners, and also anyone who wants to join the 250 people who come for the barbecue following.
